Big fossil Seimenii point is considered the area, located near the village Seimeni, the Danube River, 9 km from Cernavoda and occupies an area of 0.50 hectares. Reserve shelters a specific fossil fauna including 60 species, an area of 0.60 ha of this area is protected by law.
Capidava fortress which occupied an important place in Roman defensive system being part of a series of camps and fortifications built in the time of Traian, at the beginning of the II century, as a measure of organization of the Danube limes.
